Appeal to the participants

The International Scientific and Practical Conference GEOMOS26 is a significant event aimed at developing construction science in Russia. This event will provide a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience, allowing participants to discuss the latest research and achievements in geotechnics. Distinguished specialists in the field of foundation engineering will meet with young researchers at sessions dedicated to the anniversary of the Gersevanov Research Institute.
GEOMOS26 will strengthen the ties between the scientific community and practical specialists. The conference will bring together Russian and foreign scientists, geotechnicians, engineers, designers, examiners, as well as representatives of construction companies and self-regulatory organizations. Their joint efforts will help develop new approaches and solutions that will foster the advancement of the construction industry in Russia and beyond.

Vitaliy G. Kryuchkov, Doctor of Economics, Academician of REA, General Director of the Science
and Research Center of Construction

The 95th anniversary of the Gersevanov Research Institute of Bases and Underground Structures is a fitting occasion to recall the history and achievements of several generations of scientists and look into the future, drawing on decades of experience and using modern research methods. The institute’s credo is to always meet the demands of civil and industrial construction, using theory and experiment and translating findings into construction codes with a clear scope and its limitations. The high level of expertise among employees has enabled the successful prevention and mitigation of emergency situations that occur in practice, minimizing possible damage.
Today, the Gersevanov Research Institute actively collaborates and engages with organizations in the field of hydro- and thermal power engineering, the nuclear industry, underground transport, urban construction, as well as with universities specializing in civil engineering.
Dear participants of GEOMOS26, professional meetings, knowledge exchange, and a welcoming atmosphere await you at the conference. We warmly welcome you to the Conference!

Vyacheslav A. Ilyichev, Doctor of Engineering, President of RSSMGFE, Vice-President of RAACS

2026 marks the 95th anniversary of the founding of the N.M. Gersevanov Research Institute of Soil Mechanics, Geotechnics and Foundation Engineering (NIIOSP), the leading research institute in this field in Russia. We invite you to celebrate this significant event and take part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference on Soil Mechanics, Geotechnics and Foundation Engineering GEOMOS26, which will be held from 17 to 20 March 2026 at the NIIOSP, Moscow, Russia. The conference is organized by NIIOSP of JSC Research Center “Construction” and RSSMGFE which is ISSMGE member society. Our mission is to obtain and disseminate new knowledge in geotechnics, improve the scientific and technical level of civil engineering, ensuring quality, reliability and safety, which inspired the conference slogan – Intelligence on guard of mechanical safety!
